Who operates Leftover Rescue
Leftover Rescue is operated by PJM Apps. Privacy questions can be sent to pjmapps01@pjmappscom.com.
Food photos and AI processing
Photo analysis is optional. When you select Analyse Ingredients, the photo is sent over an encrypted connection to the PJM Apps backend hosted by Render and then to OpenAI to identify visible ingredients. PJM Apps processes the photo in memory and does not save it to an app database. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for service delivery and abuse monitoring unless a different setting applies.
Recipe information
Confirmed ingredient names, priorities and cupboard choices are sent to the PJM Apps backend and OpenAI to generate recipe ideas. Do not include personal or sensitive information in ingredient names.
Information on your device
Saved recipes, shopping-list items and your photo-processing choice are stored locally on your device. You can remove them inside the app or by clearing app data or uninstalling.
Technical information
Hosting providers may process IP addresses and technical logs to deliver the service, enforce limits and investigate misuse. PJM Apps uses encrypted HTTPS connections, does not sell personal data and does not use app content for advertising.
Your choices and rights
You can use manual ingredient entry instead of uploading a photo. Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data. Contact PJM Apps to make a request.
Children
Leftover Rescue is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian should supervise younger users, particularly when taking or uploading photos.
